Fire Fighters & Peace Officers Survivors Scholarship
A state scholarship that recognizes the importance of the duties performed by our fire fighters and peace officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The program provides survivors with an opportunity for a college education through a scholarship.
Eligibility
Student and honorable deceased must be a resident of New Mexico.
Attend a public post-secondary institution (in or out of New Mexico).
Survivor; spouse, adopted or natural children must be twenty one years of age or under at the time of death.
How to Apply

When To Apply
Applications must be received by September 1st.
Award
Tuition, room and board, up to the average cost of attendance at a New Mexico public research university.
Duration
Each scholarship is for a period of up to six academic years.
