Students learned about New Mexico registered apprenticeships and other fast-track postsecondary credentialing opportunities by taking part in the biannual workforce development bus tour during National Apprenticeship Week.
The budget proposal also addresses New Mexico’s status as one of the nation’s worst states for adult literacy by dramatically increasing funding for adult education and adult literacy programs.
Nearly 100 high school students from throughout New Mexico traveled to Albuquerque to participate in the GEAR UP New Mexico Student Leadership Conference last month to engage them as young leaders in their communities.
